Goals are important but the journey is too
I started working at age twelve because I wanted an expensive bicycle. It ended up taking me between two and three years to build the bike up. I bought the parts as I could afford them. I kept the parts in my room so I could see the progress(or lack there of) everyday before I went to sleep and when I woke up in the morning.
You need to know what you’re working for.
In addition to working towards my goal of the bicycle I also used to enjoy my money by eating it. I used to cycle to some fancy food spots in town and the waiters would look at me weird. I would order steak, a milkshake and a chocolate brownie — I think I was 13 or so at the time.
